Elemental Swords Mod for Minecraft 1.6.4

If you like weapons with a little more punch than just their ability to drop opponents in a fight, then you might like the Elemental Swords mod. Like the name suggests, it adds a number of different swords with elemental themes to Minecraft, and each of these swords has some special features to it. There are two different tiers of swords, with the fire, water, earth and wind swords in the bottom tier, and lava, ocean, jungle and storm swords being in the second tier, with second tier swords being stronger than first tier swords. For example, a fire sword will set an enemy on fire for 10 seconds on hit; lava swords does 20.

You can’t just craft second tier swords. You first need the lesser tier one version, and then you need to build an altar of elements where you can do the upgrading. There are special recipes to make the materials needed to make the swords in the first place, as well. All of these can be found at the Elemental Swords mod website. This mod works with Minecraft versions up to 1.6.4, but while there are no recent updates to make it work with 1.8, it still might.
