Engender is a Minecraft mod that’s been designed for players who, instead of fighting by themselves, would much rather prefer to have an army of mobs that’ll do their bidding for them. This is a pretty solid mod that may not add any real depth or functionality to the gameplay of Minecraft but still feels quite fun to use nonetheless. If you’ve grown tired of vanilla Minecraft’s gameplay and want something refreshing to try out then Engender is a mod that you should definitely consider trying out because it offers a nice change of pace from the traditional gameplay.
The Engender mod basically allows players to spawn entire armies of mobs that players can control and order around. The mod allows players to do so thanks to the custom-built spawner that it comes with. Once you’ve installed the mod and have gotten your hands on the spawner that it implements, everything else becomes quite straightforward because all you have to do is use the spawner in order to spawn as many mobs as you want to. Mobs can be spawned with some special items as well that give them bonus stats and such and, as you’d expect, they only fight for the player who spawned them so you can’t expect to take control of mobs that have been spawned by someone else.
One thing worth keeping in mind about the Engender mod is the fact that, as of right now, it’s only compatible with Minecraft versions up until 1.11 so, if you’ve already gone ahead and upgraded to 1.12, you might have to wait a bit before this mod becomes compatible with that particular version of the game. All said and done, though, Engender is a pretty solid mod that makes the game a lot more enjoyable by letting players control massive armies of mobs.

OH MY GOT
its ok
It’s very overpowered. I find it too easy to make minions. Also the chicken’s abilities are annoying.
I had an army of 3 chickens and the constant eggs made lag worse than it already is.
Also, I would like the mobs to be stationary at times as well. Maybe a “patrol block” or a simple gui would help. It gets annoying having all the noisy animals following you around
Nice.
