For Minecraft players who have grown tired of the usual player vs. enemy combat, the FighterMobs mod is a great addition to the game. It gives standard monsters like zombies, skeletons and pigmen special abilities which are far from standard – teleportation, sprinting, extra armor and temporary invisibility are just some of these special abilities. Fighting a mob with any one of these skills can be a pain, but if you’re unfortunate enough to run into something with several special abilities stacked, it could spell the end of your life and pretty quickly too. Thankfully, there’s a way to manage mobs and stop this from happening.
These abilities activate randomly when you hit the mob. Therefore, if you don’t spam strikes, or if you attack from a distance, you can still clean up baddies without exposing yourself to too much risk. However, the FighterMobs mod really shines when you dig down into a pit full of enemies, or when you’re farming a mob spawner and constantly fighting. It also stresses killing hostile mobs one at a time because the more damage you deal to a monster, the more damage it will deal to you. Watch out for the random negative potion effects mobs can dump on you too; some will cut right through your armor.
