Just a Few Fish is a very fun Minecraft mod that, as the name suggests, focuses solely on the aspect of in-game fishes and tries to enhance it to a whole new level. Normally, Minecraft isn’t really that big on fishes. Sure it has massive bodies of water, but most of these are empty more often than not so the overall experience is not as immersive as one would hope. Fortunately, this mod is here to get rid of all those issues by adding a whole lot of fish and other fish related content for the players to enjoy.
First and foremost, let’s discuss the species of fish that this mod implements. The Just a Few Fish mod adds a total of four unique fish to the game; Salmon, Cod, Clownfish and Pufferfish. The best part about these fish is that not only do they look unique but they also have different characteristics as well to distinguish themselves from the others. The natural spawning of each fish is different as well. The code can spawn in every kind of biome; Salmon can spawn in rivers, oceans and swamps whereas the Pufferfish and the Clownfish can only spawn in the oceans so keep these spawning habits in mind if you’re looking for a specific type of fish.
To make things more engaging, Just a Few Fish also features an actual fish tank that can be crafted through the recipe provided by the mod itself. The fish tank allows you to store a whole bunch of fish without having to worry about them despawning at some point. It can also be used for the purpose of breeding so if you’re looking to start your very own fish farm then you’ll definitely need a few fish tanks to get things going.
