SteamCraft 2 Mod for Minecraft 1.7.10

In Minecraft, there are some mods which more or less exist solely to support other existing mods. SteamCraft 2 Mod is one of those support mods. Meant to accompany popular mods like BuildCraft and IndustrialCraft 2, SteamCraft 2 mod is like a pack filled with new items, gear and food which helps to make the player feel like they’ve been transported to a Victorian-era world. Steampunk is strong here, and there are many steam-powered machines, strange firearms and other fantastic things to be found in this mod. It does work fine as a standalone addition to Minecraft, but again, SteamCraft 2 mod is improved by other mods.

Well, at least it will be fine as a mod in the near future. SteamCraft 2 mod is still in the works so to speak, so it’s not exactly available for download or installation just yet. The mod creator is working hard to produce tons of new content and make the mod a very convincing one, so this will still take more time. How long it will take is anyone’s guess – many mod creators also have things like rent and bills to worry about so they can often disappear for days or weeks at a time, leaving their project on hold for the duration.

The good news is that since this mod hasn’t been released yet, it’s pretty much guaranteed to work with the latest version of Minecraft whenever it does come out. There still hasn’t been any compatibility testing with the various modloader programs, so there’s not much to say there just yet. However, for those players who can stand to wait for the weeks or months this mod will take to release, it seems like there is a lot of hype and excitement just waiting to boil over at that time. In the meantime, look for other Steampunk style mods to keep you busy.
