The Minecraft Promo Art Pack is a resource pack that’s been built to implement textures into the game that look similar to the ones that are displayed in the various Minecraft promo arts. If you think that this pack sounds quite similar to another one then you’re absolutely correct because the same creator actually released MCMojang a while back and that pack was designed for the same purpose. However, the problem with MCMojang was the fact that it was built at a relatively low resolution of 8×8 and this made it really hard to design good looking textures for it. The Minecraft Promo Art resource pack on the other hand, doesn’t face this issue so it’s now being worked on instead of MCMojang.
The Minecraft Promo Art resource pack, much like its spiritual predecessor, does an excellent job of implementing an art style into the game that’s identical to the style that’s been used in almost all of the Minecraft promo arts. The colors are bright and vibrant and, while the amount of detail in the textures isn’t all that high, they still look spectacular because they’re really smooth and have absolutely no amount of noticeable noise present in them.
The Minecraft Promo Art resource pack has a resolution of 16×16 which is significantly higher than the 8×8 of the original MCMojang so the textures definitely look a lot better. The pack’s also been optimized quite nicely so you’ll be able to use it no pretty much every single PC that can run vanilla Minecraft without trouble. It’s important to remember, though, that the Minecraft Promo Art Pack is still a work in progress so a lot of textures are still subject to change.
