Some custom Minecraft maps are designed so well and just so much fun that players keep trying them, even years after their release. Few withstand the test of time so well as the Olann Island map, which is actually a branch from the Olann City map by the same author. At over three years of age, it’s definitely one of the older Minecraft maps you’ll find out there, but it’s still getting time on Youtube, Twitch and other websites today. It’s a real resort island, featuring a casino, a boardwalk loaded with fun and games, and much more. Finally, a map that works with the Lucky Block mod!

Other attractions on Olann Island include a Ferris wheel, a working rollercoaster and even a giant water slide with plenty of loops and high speeds. That’s all just on the outside – checking the interiors of the various buildings found on the island will only lead to more things to do. Olann Island is one of those maps where it’s obvious the author took several hours (or even weeks) putting everything together. That is probably responsible for the map’s lasting ability and the fact it is still fun to play on, even several years after its initial release.
