Ore Spiders Mod for Minecraft 1.7.10

Small heads up to anyone with arachnophobia, the Ore Spiders mod focuses almost entirely on spiders so if you’re afraid of those creepy little critters then we recommend staying away from this mod. However, if that’s not the case with you and you’re looking to add some unique new mobs to your game then this is a great mod to try out. It adds different kinds of spiders and every single one of them matches up with a specific in-game ore like diamond, gold and obsidian etc.

As mentioned before, each spider in the Ore Spiders mod is based off some in-game ore gem or rock. The spiders are different from each other in the way they look as well as the way they function. Each spider has a unique set of stacks, some are weak, some are strong, some are resistant to fire, some are immune to displacement effects and in this way each one of them manages to set itself apart from the others. If you kill a spider, said spider has a pretty good chance of dropping the ore/material that it’s based on. For instance, if you manage to kill a golden spider then there’s a solid chance that it might drop a golden ingot.

Other than the standard mobs the Ore Spiders implements a bunch of items as well that can be used to summon the boss mob known as the Spider Queen. The Spider Queen is pretty tough to deal with and has three different phases as well so she basically keeps evolving as the fight continues. If you manage to kill her you’ll get an Orb Weaver which is an item that can be used to summon cobwebs.
