The Parkour Mayhem map is the perfect first parkour map for players who have always wanted to get into parkour but don’t have any sort of skill or experience with this type of gameplay in Minecraft. This particular parkour map was actually made with novices in mind, so it’s possible even for complete and total parkour noobs to pick up this map and beat it. The map features smart placement of checkpoints throughout the course, along with several command blocks that perform interesting functions, including making you die instantly when you hit the bottom of the world.
This might not sound like much but waiting 10 seconds to suffocate once you fall out of the world can get very annoying very quickly. Players who have a lot of experience with this sort of map will probably breeze right through Parkour Mayhem and then go back to playing on harder parkour maps. It’s really designed specifically for amateurs. However, it contains enough difficult jumps, fast leaps, and consecutive jumping sections to turn even a bad parkour player into a good one with enough practice. Parkour Mayhem isn’t as chaotic as the name might lead people to believe – it’s actually rather simple.
