Fans of the Gladiator movie or ancient Rome in general will probably love the Romecraft Colosseum map, which brings the large fighting arena from history into Minecraft. Just like the real Coliseum in Rome, this one is arranged in a circle with all the seats facing towards the center, or the stage. This is little more than a flat plane of sand where fighters will duel to the death, though they donโt necessarily need to kill each other. To get the most out of this map you really have to play it with other people โ itโs just a bunch of wasted space if thereโs no PVP happening.
On an interesting note, the size and scale of the Romecraft Colosseum are supposed to be at a ratio of 1:1. Walking around in this computerize Coliseum is more or less like walking through the real thing, though the actual Coliseum is a bit more damaged from age, wear and tear. The inside isnโt exactly the same though, since this was built for a specific server a long time ago. From the outside, they look the same. In all, the structure is 189 blocks by 156 blocks by 48 blocks. Itโs a pretty huge place, but still not so large that it would take long to explore it.
