Sky Dessert Map 1.8.9

The Sky Dessert map really does begin with a dessert floating in the sky. When you first load up the world, you’ll be standing on top of a cake which is the only thing standing between you and a long, painful fall to the earth below. With such a starting point, the inspiration for the name of the map is immediately evident – you literally begin your journey standing on a desert that’s just kind of floating there in the sky. From there, you’ll need to travel to several islands in the surrounding area, retrieving something from each to complete the quest and finally beat the map.

With five other islands to explore, you’re guaranteed at least a couple of hours of gameplay with the Sky Dessert map. Besides playing through and collecting items like you’re supposed to do, the map also gives you a unique item collection challenge in the six emeralds which are hidden in various parts of the world. These aren’t easy to find, so if you manage to make it to the end of the map with all six emeralds in tow, you’ll know you’ve thoroughly, completely beaten the map. There isn’t a lot of replay value here because things are so straightforward, so try it or don’t, it’s up to you.
