SquishyPack is a Minecraft resource pack that’s stayed in development for two years but, as of recently, it’s been made available for download. At the time of writing this, it’s been less than a month since the pack surfaced and it’s already been downloaded over a thousand times which shows how much traction it’s getting and, alongside all this, it seems to have received nothing but praise from the users who’ve tried it out so this is definitely a pack worth looking into if you aren’t content with the way your Minecraft world currently looks and want to enjoy visuals that are fresh.
One of the most peculiar things about SquishyPack is the fact that it was originally meant to be a space themed resource pack but, during a point in its development, it was eventually changed to offer a lighter pastel based art style to its users. The change in style was definitely a good decision because this pack’s textures give off an incredibly unique look that you can’t really find in other resource packs. Although the level of detail in the pack’s textures may not be on the higher end of the spectrum, this is actually a negligible issue thanks to the pack’s vibrant color palette and smooth textures that don’t seem to have any noise in them at all.
SquishyPack’s textures have been designed at a 16×16 resolution so it’s safe to say that you’ll have no trouble getting this pack to run at stable frame-rates as long as you have a computer that can handle vanilla Minecraft without running into technical issues.
