The Janitor’s Closet is a Minecraft horror map that’s great for newcomers to the horror map category because it doesn’t really do anything out of the ordinary or add anything innovative to the mix but, what it does offer, is an extremely well execution of the fundamentals of this category of maps so it’s sure to keep you entertained from start to finish while simultaneously sending chills down your spine. If you’re looking for something innovative then this map isn’t really the one to go with but, if you want a simple and straightforward experience that relies on traditional gameplay concepts and all the usual horror map clichés, this map will not disappoint.
In The Janitor’s Closet, you play the role of a new substitute janitor who’s taken a part-time job at a school. Everything seemed normal when you first got the job but, as soon as you go to get the cleaning supplies, strange things start happening around you, and you realize that the staff might have omitted some important details about the school when they were hiring you. Now you’re stuck in the school with no way of getting out so it’s up to you to survive by utilizing the supplies in hand so that you may live to see another day.
The gameplay of The Janitor’s Closet, as mentioned earlier, doesn’t have anything out of the ordinary to offer so you’ll feel quite comfortable with the map as long as you have a decent understanding of the basics of Minecraft. The map supports multiplayer as well so if you want to play it alongside a friend, then you’ll have the option of doing so. Overall, this is an extremely well designed Minecraft map that you’re certainly going to love as it pulls off the fundamentals in a near flawless manner.
