Village of the Island Map 1.8.9

For Minecraft players seeking a great island village survival experience, the Village of the Island map is definitely worth checking out. This isn’t just some random island with a little village plastered onto it either. This village is custom-made and humongous compared to any other villages you’ve probably seen before, with housing and space for dozens or even hundreds of villagers, if you’re up to the task of populating the place. Everything has adequate lighting right from the start too, so you won’t need to worry about running around and brightening the place up before nightfall.

Along with the lights, this village also comes with walls – tall ones at that. This is just scratching the surface of Village of the Island, however. Once you go below the ground, you’ll see all kinds of redstone circuits, farms, and even elevators which actually work, which is pretty amazing. The amount of work that went into this map isn’t really apparent until you go down under the ground and see all this stuff, so withhold judgment until you do this. Also, unlike most villages, this one takes up the entire island, so you won’t really have a chance to build outside of it. Just pick a house and move yourself in.
