Tokyo Ghoul is a pretty popular anime these days, so it only makes sense that someone finally made a Tokyo Ghoul Mod for Minecraft. This mod includes many cool bits and pieces of the anime, like the specialized Quinque weapons many of the ghouls use. There are actually ghouls too which you might run into while out in the field. They’re hostile as all hell and they really dress up the PVM experience in Minecraft by making fights something you might rather avoid, instead of something you’ll run blindly into because you know you can’t lose, like with zombies.
Much of the new armor is made in the same way as old armor, but you need to find modded materials to make the stuff. This means you will eventually need to go ghoul hunting if you want to get the strongest weapons, armor and items available in the Tokyo Ghoul Mod. As a rule, you’ll probably want to try and stick to ranged combat against ghouls at first if you can help it. Some of them have ranged attacks too, but the majority is melee only creatures, so if you can get the jump on them from far away you should be able to beat them without getting killed yourself.
As for the Minecraft community, people have received the Tokyo Ghoul Mod very well and they pay it high compliments on pretty much every relevant website. The mod is surprisingly well thought out – there don’t seem to be any bugs or bad lines of code or occurrences of crashing out Minecraft. These are all points in favor of the Tokyo Ghoul Mod. Even if you’re not a fan of the related anime, you could still look at this mod like a big weapon, armor and monster plugin to make Minecraft more versatile and fun, because that’s basically what it is.
