Youtubers Mod for Minecraft 1.8/1.7.10

The Youtubers Mod is probably the first mod ever to claim it caters specifically to the Let’s Play crowd. But it doesn’t work in the way you probably think. Rather than making recording Minecraft videos and broadcasting the content easier, this mod actually adds several famous Minecraft Youtubers to the game where the player can interact with them in various ways. Thankfully none of them are openly hostile to players – they will attack hostile mobs and even help you out in a fight, but they won’t attack you unless you hit them one too many times and make them mad.

It’s possible to tame the Youtubers by showering them with cash, and different amounts have different chances of successfully taming the NPCs. Any Youtuber can be tamed with $1 million, but lesser amounts like $500,000 and $100,000 have a 50% and 10% chance to do the job respectively. Once tamed, you can also gear up your Youtuber followers by giving them weapons and armor. You can even give them modded gear too. It may not render on their bodies, but any attack and defense stats as well as other special effects will still apply as if you yourself were the one using the gear.

The Youtubers Mod adds special Player type mobs to Minecraft as well. These special mobs aren’t as strong as the Youtubers, but they cost one hundredth of the amount it takes to tame a Youtuber, with $10,000 giving a 100% tame rate. A special YoutuberSkins pack is necessary for these mobs to render correctly and function. You also get special items based on the habits of specific Youtubers. For instance, Bodil40 likes to throw minecarts full of TNT at people, and you get a Bodil40 Prank Kit which allows you to do the same thing in game – with horrifyingly destructive results. A fun mod overall.

  1. The money system is rather tedious and fills up the inventory quite fast. Perhaps stick to emeralds instead or something? That, and the slightly over-high spawn rates is what deters me from this mod. But I quite like it, despite those reasons.

    • 1) I know the money system is tedious I made the Bank blocks and bank cards to make it eazyer
      2) in recent updates at least the spawn rates are configurable

  2. hi mobs don’t spawn money and i cant interact with youtubers. Is there anything that can help me with this.
