Targeted at hardcore miners who want to extract every possible resource they can from the world of Minecraft, Better Underground is a mod that aims to make the mining experience more enjoyable and immersive for Minecraft players by revamping the underground visuals and making them look significantly better than they’ve historically looked. The mod doesn’t really bring any functional changes to the mix but it still manages to make mining feel like a much more enjoyable and immersive activity by greatly enhancing the way the underground world looks in Minecraft. If you mine often then Better Underground is a mod that you should not pass up on.
The Better Underground mod manages to make the underground terrain of Minecraft look exponentially better by adding various kinds of impressive looking rock formations that are actually quite realistic. Alongside the rock formations, the mod also brings multiple kinds of mysterious plants that can’t really be harvested but are still a really impressive visual touch. Again, it’s important to point out that the changes made by this mod are purely visual so you won’t notice any differences in the actual functionality of the game but, all things considered, your experience will be a lot better due to the enhanced visuals.
It’s crucial to remember that the Better Underground mod functions by altering the game’s world generation a bit so you might end up noticing a few performance drops if you play Minecraft on a PC that has low-end hardware. However, most of the performance issues should be fairly minor so, as long as you have a computer that can run vanilla Minecraft without running into frame-rate troubles, it’s unlikely that you’ll have any major troubles while using the Better Underground mod. All said and done, though, this is an exceptional mod that aims to make mining feel like a more enjoyable and engaging activity.
