The Carbonado Ore mod by Insane96 is another ore based mod that’s quite similar to the Vulcanite Ore mod that we talked about a few days back. Much like the previous mod, this mod is for players who aren’t content with the ore variety in Minecraft and want to add something new and interesting into the mix. The mod doesn’t bring any groundbreaking new functionality to the table but, what it does offer, is an extremely well thought out new ore that players can mine and create items with. If you want to add a touch of extra variety to your Minecraft experience, the Carbonado Ore mod is the one to do so with.
As the name suggests, the Carbonado Ore mod implements an ore called Carbonado into the game, and this particular ore is also often referred to as a Black Diamond which is why, in terms of statistics, it’s a fair bit similar to the diamond ore that exists in vanilla Minecraft. Mining the ore can be a bit of a challenge since it’s quite rare and is only located inside bedrock in the overworld and nether so you’ll have to go through a lot of dangerous places to get to it. It’s highly recommended that you use TNTs in order to locate it since it’s quite rare and is blast proof so the TNT won’t damage it in any way.
The ore featured in the Carbonado Ore mod can only be mined with a diamond pickaxe or any other tools that are similar to this particular pickaxe in terms of statistics. The stats of items made from this ore are slightly higher than those of diamond, but it’s worth mentioning that the recipes are almost identical so you won’t need to memorize any new recipes.
