Earthworks is an excellent mod that’s been made to add historically inspired visuals to Minecraft. As of right now, pretty much every single building material available in Minecraft is a modern day material and, while these materials can be used to make some pretty stunning structures, they’re rather lackluster for players who want to create structures that are inspired by history. However, thanks to the Earthworks mod, you’ll get access to a variety of building materials that you’ll be able to make historical buildings. The mod’s materials have been inspired by various times of the past such as the Stone Age and the Bronze Age.
Onto the specific details, the Earthworks features a wide variety of materials such as Chalk, Dry Fitted Stone, Cob, Cordwood, Thatch, Reed, Wicker, Slate, Plaster and a whole bunch of others. By utilizing these materials, you’ll be able to make some truly magnificent historically inspired structures that’ll be a sight to behold. One impressive thing about this mod is that the materials actually have their own distinct characteristics for example how Dry Fitted Stone offers blast resistance similar to how Obsidian does. Certain blocks even come in various different, fully rotatable, patterns that you can use to pull off some pretty incredible designs.
It’s worth mentioning that some materials of the Earthworks mod are really easy to acquire whereas others will require you to make an effort before you can get your hands on them. Cordwood, for instance, isn’t easy to acquire and you’ll need to work hard for it whereas other things like Chalk or Wicker can be found with ease. As for compatibility, the Earthworks mod is available for Minecraft 1.10 and 1.11 so you’ll need to be on one of these versions of the game in order to play it because it won’t function on older versions of the game.

What are the crafting recipes for these blocks and their configurations? I’ve figured out how to make the full blocks but not the stairs or slabs or anything.
I love the mod but there is no crafting for Slabs or Stairs. ;(
