FNI Realistic RPG Resource Pack

The FNI Realistic RPG resource pack originally came out around four years ago and, at the time of its release, it actually received quite a lot of critical acclaim because the visuals that it offered were definitely ahead of their time. However, after some time, the pack went dormant because it didn’t receive any new updates so it no longer remained compatible with the latest versions of Minecraft. However, as of recently, the pack’s been brought back to life by creator FireandIce who’s updated it to work with the latest version of Minecraft so, if you’re looking for a top-notch resource pack with realistic and highly appealing textures, FNI Realistic RPG might just be where your search ends.

Even though the FNI Realistic RPG resource pack came out four years ago, it still looks absolutely fantastic even today. The pack’s textures seem to carry an insane amount of detail in them, and the most impressive thing about them is definitely the fact that noise is pretty much non-existent in them. The pack seems to swap out the usual bright and vibrant color palette for a much darker one but, in this particular case, this is certainly a good decision because the darker colors help enforce the realistic art style that this pack’s trying to execute.

FNI Realistic RPG has a resolution of x16, and this resolution definitely comes as a bit of surprise because the level of detail in the textures of this pack would initially have you believe that it’s of a much higher resolution. Since the pack is x16, though, you’ll have no trouble getting the pack to run, even on computers with hardware that’s outdated by now.

1. Start Minecraft.
2. Click “Options” in the start menu.
3. Click “resource packs” in the options menu.
4. In the resource packs menu, click “Open resource pack folder”.
5. Put the .zip file you downloaded in the resource pack folder.
