The Garnet resource pack is a pack that aims to imbue the visuals of Minecraft with a few garnet colored touches in order to make the visuals feel more vibrant and colorful. The pack’s been designed specifically for players who want to give Minecraft’s graphics a bit of a boost while simultaneously making sure that the performance doesn’t take a hit. In fact, the pack actually ends up increasing the game’s frame-rate when utilized so you should definitely consider trying it out if you play Minecraft on a low-end PC that usually struggles to maintain a stable frame-rate.
The Garnet resource pack basically adds various different shades of purple to Minecraft’s textures, but it makes sure not to go overboard with this particular art style, so the game looks fresh even though the core art style is reminiscent to that of vanilla Minecraft. The level of detail in the textures has definitely been given a lift but what’s most impressive is the fact that all noise seems to have been removed from the textures and this is why they look a lot more appealing than they usually do. The color palette has been darkened a bit, and the dark color palette is definitely a nice touch because it synergizes nicely with the pack’s focus on purple.
The Garnet resource pack has a resolution of x32 which is highly impressive considering the fact that it actually performs even better than most x16 resource packs. Again, it’s highly recommended that you try this pack out if you play Minecraft on a low-end PC that can’t maintain stable frame-rates when running the game.
