Realm of the Dragons is a mod that’s loosely based off the Dragon Mounts mod that has been around for a while. The basis for the dragons of the Dragon Mounts mod were the various different elements but, in this particular case, the basis for the dragons are various different kinds of gemstones such as Amethyst, Garnet, Jade Ruby and such. The mod’s pretty well designed and it’s highly recommended for players who want to spice up their Minecraft world by adding multitudes of ferocious dragons into it.
As mentioned above, there are multiple different dragons featured in this mod and they’ve all been based off the different kinds of gemstones. Each individual gemstone breed in the mod has its own set of armor and tools so you’ll definitely be able to get your hands on some pretty solid equipment if you choose to try this mod out. There are also plans to add item sets for the End and even the Nether so there’s quite a bit to look forward to. As for the functionality as well, the dragons can be hatched, raised and, when they’re adults, they can take to the skies and be used as mounts. Riding across the Minecraft skies on a fearsome dragon is a delightful experience and it’s one of the main reasons we like this mod so much.
The technical side of the Realm of the Dragons mod is quite immaculate as well since there are absolutely no noticeable technical issues in the mod that would end up hindering the player’s experience. This isn’t necessarily the most popular mod of its kind since it’s sitting at just under 10,000 downloads even though it’s been a couple of months since it was released but, nonetheless, it’s still very well designed and worth trying out.

okay i have a question. are the dragons in the overworld, or is there a whole new dimenson just for the dragon? thanks this mod seems really cool.
Eggs are in overworld, nether and one in End (ender after kill a boss), but no living dragons or special dimension for them.
How do you make the dragons sit? I tried using a bone like in the dragon mounts mod but it didnt work, and when I put the dragons on leads all they do is spin in circles XD

My Dragons are to fast what can I do? I have the newest Version 1.12.2
it needs to be at least easy mode to hatch them if your in peaceful it wont work
this doesn’t work on 1.12.2. Right click to hatch and nothing happens. Been waiting for a whole day/night cycle :'(
1. Which version? Because this mod is now in 1.4 version, avalaible on curseforge.
2. By default you need wait whole day/night cycle, it mean 24000 ticks in game.
3. Use raw fish for tame them.
how do i download
why is it whenever i look at the dragon my minecraft game gets all purple?
yeah. i have a similar issue. i have downloaded the mod for 12.2 and got it working, but whenever i look at a dragon, my screen turns almost completely light purple. I’ve rebooted my computer, reinstalled the mod multiple times, started new worlds, and restarted minecraft several times. the only other mods i have installed are a damage indicator, a minimap mod, and Ice and Fire. I’m not sure if any of those would interfere, but I can’t figure out how to fix it. if someone could help me out, that would be very much appreciated. Thank you all and I’m sorry for causing you any trouble.
i’m having that problem too, it’s really annoying, i’ve searched the settings and everything. nothing works, nothing hlike that happens when i look at other mobs, but it does hen i look at a dragon,
How do you hatch them???
Hi, I just downloaded the 1.10.2 version and when I tried placing an egg in creative and right clicking it to hatch it, the game crashed. Now when I try to go back to that game it crashes. This mod looks awesome already because I love the dragon mounts mod I already have. ^w^
