Before going into the specific details of the ShulkerBox Parkour, it’s probably best to give a little detail on what the Shulker Box is. It’s basically a neat little box type item that can store and transport items from one place to another. The ShulkerBox was added to the game with Minecraft 1.11.2 and, all things considered, it’s a great addition that players have enjoyed quite a bit. The ShulkerBox Parkour takes this box and uses it to provide players with an extremely unique and refreshing parkour experience that’s unlike anything this map category has had to offer before.
It goes without saying that you’ll probably struggle a bit when starting off in the ShulkerBox Parkour, especially if you aren’t familiar with the Shulker Boxes yet. However, after you’ve played a little bit, you’ll get settled into things and will probably be able to progress just fine. Using Shulker Boxes in parkour gameplay sounds like a pretty absurd concept but this map manages to make it work somehow, and the end result is a really intriguing and challenging gameplay experience that players are sure to enjoy. The map is filled to the brim with lots of great gameplay features such as co-op parkour moments, two-player puzzles, and an intense boss battle to round everything off.
It’s worth mentioning that ShulkerBox Parkour is a two player only map, and it’s pretty much impossible to get through it solo, so you’ll need a companion with you if you wish to go through the entire map from start to finish. The gameplay of ShulkerBox Parkour can take as little as 30 minutes if you’re skilled but this time can go up to one or two hours if you aren’t particularly skilled at Minecraft parkour. Overall, the gameplay of ShulkerBox Parkour feels like a breath of fresh air, and we highly recommend trying the map out.
