The Skeleton Army is a fast-paced and captivating PvE survival map in which players must go against an entire army of spooky and ruthless skeletons on their own and try to survive their seemingly endless onslaught. It’s a pretty challenging map due to the sheer amount of skeletons that you’ll have to face during it, but nonetheless, it’s quite enjoyable, and you’ll definitely enjoy going through it. Alongside the usual in-game combat, the map also features various other elements such as magic and special blocks, and these elements add a bit of extra flavor to the gameplay.
The objective of The Skeleton Army is pretty straightforward; simply fight through the hordes upon hordes of zombies without dying and you’ll eventually beat the map. The gameplay is pretty straightforward, but you’ll struggle quite a bit while going through it because there are just so many skeletons to combat, and they can inflict a surprising amount of damage if you aren’t careful. The map also has two types of magic pads that have been scattered across the world. The first is the purple pad that can give you bonus strength and resistance whereas the second is the blue pad that’ll give you bonus speed and regeneration stats.
Alongside the usual combat gameplay, The Skeleton Army also gives players various magical abilities that they can use to open doors from a distance, and you can even use them to turn regular blocks into magic pads whenever necessary. The map can be played both single player and multiplayer, and the gameplay lies somewhere between the 20-30 minute mark depending on how skilled you are. The map’s been made to work with Minecraft 1.9.4 and above which is why using it with any game version that’s lower will cause a lot of compatibility issues.
