Redpower Mod for Minecraft 1.4.6

For Minecrafters who enjoy creating simple and complex circuitry chains from redstone, there are few more useful mods than Redpower, by Eloraam. While it is essentially another pipes mod which allows players to build several different circuits all within the same construction, Redpower manages to stand apart from other pipe mods in a few ways. Namely, some of the pipes are a bright, bold red color that isn’t seen in other mods. This is part of a strong, underlying U.S.S.R. kind of theme in the mod, further evidenced by the creator’s banners, which are red and feature the old union’s colors predominantly.

Redpower does away with the need for complicated chains of redstone repeaters and comparators, allowing players to make more complicated constructs in Minecraft without it being necessary for them to have a mastery over redstone circuits. It is a good and useful mod, both for those who are just getting into redstone as well as those who have been working with the stuff for ages and are just tired of having to make humongous, complicated buildings just to create a working timer or other simple structure.

The mod comes with an official blog where the creator and various users post explanations and accounts of their experiences with the mod. Likewise, Redpower features a custom recipe list for the special recipes it adds to the game. Anyone using the mod will want this recipe list handy to expedite their projects.
