The Millenaire mod for Minecraft does a lot to make Villagers more helpful entities in the game. Essentially, it is a mod for single-player Minecraft which really improves on single player worlds by adding many more villages, as well as giving those villages different looks. Players will feel like they’ve stepped into ancient Indian, Mayan and Norman villages, just by traipsing through the game’s various biomes. With the addition of world creation modifiers in Minecraft 1.8, this mod might not seem so spectacular. However, it is still very useful for adding more villages and villagers to the game.
The Millenaire mod doesn’t just add more villages to Minecraft, however. In addition, it gives the villagers a new sense of purpose. Not only will they trade unique items with the player, but once enough deals have been made and a good reputation has been built in a village, the people living there will even begin building houses for the player. They improve and expand on their own buildings too, so every village you run into with this mod installed will be a different and unique experience. That said, anyone who prefers to play Minecraft alone but wishes there were more people around – this mod is for you.
