There are few locations in Minecraft which would make a better place to set up home than the summit of a massive mountain in the middle of nowhere. Such a location would be hard for monsters or even other players to sneak up on without seeing them, so you might want to take a look at this Mountain seed. It even features a naturally occurring waterfall which stems from very close to the top of the mountain, so you can simply swim up to about the halfway mark before climbing the remainder of the distance on foot. This also makes getting off the mountain a breeze.
Since you can just jump into the descending stream of water and let it carry you safely to the base of the mountain, it might be more accurate to say the waterfalls are good for going down the mountain as well as up. There are a number of small, floating islands which surround the summit as well, where any crafty Minecraft player might build a series of bridges to connect everything together. The location is rough, yes, it needs a lot of work, but it’s pretty safe. On top of that, the mountain is full of coal, iron and other useful blocks and minerals, as well as lava.
Though the Mountain seed puts you apparently in the middle of nowhere, there is a friendly NPC village in the area which you can visit if you find yourself feeling lonely. You can find it at XYZ -338, 107, -287. There is a second village as well, but it’s about 700 blocks farther along the X axis and therefore nowhere near the massive mountain which should be the focal point on the map. There’s nothing stopping you from building a network of railroads to connect it all once you mine enough iron and gold out of the earth though. The seed is 3736255817155530355.
