Obsidian is no doubt one of the most powerful things in Minecraft because it can be used to do some insane things but, even though it’s a pretty powerful resource, it isn’t necessarily the most versatile one because it has a pretty limited amount of uses and therefore isn’t utilized all that much. You could spend hours upon hours collecting tons of obsidian but, in the end, there’s not really much that you can do with it. Fortunately, there are some great mods out that that help player utilize obsidian to its fullest potential and the Obsidian Pack+ is one of these mods. It’s definitely worth giving a shot to if you have a lot of obsidian at your disposal and want to make the most out of it.
The Obsidian Pack+ basically adds a whole lot of armors, tools, and weapons that you can craft through obsidian. Since obsidian is a rare resource that’s hard to acquire, the armors, weapons, and tools that you make from it will have some pretty impressive stats. Most of the items made from obsidian will outperform the items made from traditional Minecraft resources but this is, of course, fair because obsidian isn’t an easy thing to acquire.
Before you can actually craft the items featured in the Obsidian Pack+ mod, it’s important to keep in mind that you’ll first of all need to craft an obsidian gem. To make an obsidian gem, you’ll have to put four obsidian blocks on the crafting table alongside one diamond gem. Making obsidian gems is definitely costly but, in the end, it’s worth it because the items crafted through obsidian are more than worth the effort. Overall, Obsidian Pack+ is a great mod at helps players utilize obsidian to its fullest potential by letting the players craft powerful tools and equipment with it.
How to install Obsidian Pack+ Mod?
- Download and install the recommended Minecraft Forge for your Minecraft version.
- Download the latest mod version for your Minecraft version.
- Put the .jar file into the mods folder of your Minecraft installation.

How to craft leggins?
I don’t know if this is just for me, but there don’t seem to be any icons for the obsidian armor in my inventory. They’re visible when I’m wearing them, but when I look at the icons in my inventory they only have the black and purple texture. I don’t know if it’ll help but I’m on Minecraft v1.11.2 and using the latest version of Forge as of the time of writing this comment.
