Quintessential Creatures 2.0 Mod for Minecraft 1.8

Quintessential Creatures 2.0 is essentially a reboot of the original Quintessential Creatures mod that was designed to add a bunch of different creatures to Minecraft to enhance its variety and give players more stuff to do in-game. It’s been designed for the purpose of being the ‘go to’ mob pack that has pretty much every single creature that the players could possibly want. Obviously, it isn’t at this stage yet, but it definitely shows the potential to get there since it’s really well designed and adds a bunch of great creatures to the game, each with their own special characteristics.

It’s worth keeping in mind that the Quintessential Creatures 2.0 tries to retain as many creatures as it possibly can from the original mod which means that if you apply this one, then you won’t have any need for its predecessor since most of the mobs/creatures that it offers are already here. The creatures of this mod are designed to spawn in their respective biomes so you can’t expect to find them by simply roaming randomly around the game world. Some creatures even have certain time restrictions, for example, the Troll which can only spawn during night time due to the fact that the sun can basically turn it into stone if it comes into contact with it.

The main highlight of the Quintessential Creatures 2.0 mod is how much effort it puts into making sure that every single creature implemented by it seems distinct and unique. All the mobs that you’ll see in this mod will have a whole bunch of special characteristics and features for example the Armadillo, who will turn into a ball and surround itself with this super strong armor plating when attacked or the Blowfish which becomes a kind of cactus by expanding into its larger form when threatened.
