Hometown is a resource pack that features an adaptation of textures from other similar resource packs as well as its own new custom made textures that come together to make for some pretty high quality textures. The pack is based on a realistic art style and has been designed primarily for players who frequently like to produce realistic builds in the Minecraft world and want the best possible textures to make these builds look absolutely stunning. We’ve definitely come across quite a few realistic resource packs before that have managed to impress a lot but Hometown is on another level in terms of its design so we highly recommend trying it out.
The Hometown resource pack is defined primarily by the fact that it features some extremely realistic looking textures and what’s most impressive about this pack is the fact that it manages to pull off a realistic art style without cramming too much detail into its textures. Most realistic resource packs tend to have high resolutions because this particular style doesn’t really seem to work that well with low resolution textures but, as it turns out, Hometown is a resource pack that manages to execute this style regardless. The pack’s textures look stunning, vibrant and they don’t seem to have any noise in them either so they’re perfect for builds.
Hometown’s textures have a resolution of 16×16 which is great news for those with low-end PCs because this means that they’ll be able to enjoy this spectacular pack without having to worry about any potential frame-rate drops that would hinder their experience.
